As expected, study abroad is an integral part of Tunghai International College, with 52% of our students participating in a variety of short to long term programs. All students are encouraged to apply through the Office of International Education & Programs for unforgettable experiences in over 40 countries worldwide.

Qualification

1. Undergraduate and graduate (including Ph.D and tranfer) students have completed study in Tunghai at least one semester and qulify to be recommended to partner schools. (Student will need to maintain his/her status as Tunghai student until completing his /her exchange period).

2. International student, overseas chinese student and chinese student are strongly recoomended not to exchange to the countries they origins.

3. For student received scholarship from ministry of education, Tunghai University and other governemnt agaceny need to follow the sholarship regulation. Depending on the regulation, student might be able to conitune or discontiue receiving the sholarship.

Application Period & Fee

1. Please fill in the Online application (http://oiep.thu.edu.tw).
2. Document required：please refer to the "Application Documents" section and prepare the following documents then submit at OIEP office.
3. Application deadline: The deadline will be posted on the OIEP website.
4. Administrative fees: NTD$500 (The fee is non-refundable. Please pay the administrative fees while handing in the application documents.)
※ Only the procedures mention above are completed, the application will be accepted.

Application Documents

1. Except for sealed recommendation letters, rest documents must be handed in one original copy and one photocopy.
2. The following documents are required.

All documents must be put in order (no staple)：
(1) Student ID

(2) Application form (Please complete the Online application then print out and signed

(3) Official academic transcript for all semesters (Please highligh the GPA for each semester)

(4) Verification of class ranking for all semesters (Please highlight the percentage for each semester)

(5) Language proficiency certificate photocopy

** For student who submit the language proficiency certificate must meet the requirement of partner school to apply for the exchange program.
** Please submit the document in order, OIR office will not provide printing or photocopy service

Grading Criteria

1. Academic performace for all semesters
2. Scores on Labor Education
3. Study plan and proof of other participation of activities records.
4. Language proficiency
5. Interview preformance
※ Interviewees who need to ask for leave from class can make a request for an original copy of the interview schedule at OIEP Office

Tuition

1. Must pay full tuition and fees at any grade
2. Do not need to pay the tuition and fees at partner universities.
3. Must completed the registraion process during exchange period.
※ For above-mentioned students, either credit fees or tuition & fees are non-refundable whether the credits are transferred or not.
