Wei Gen Ooi  • 黃偉根

Hi everyone! My name is Weigen Ooi, and I am currently the Country Lead of Reapra – Taiwan, a venture builder company that focuses on long-term entrepreneurship and business model exploration. I graduated from the International Business Administration (IBA) program, and I can confidently say that those four years have been some of the most transformative and fruitful years of my life.

Throughout my time at IBA, I not only gained solid business knowledge from world-class professors but also learned how to become a confident and effective presenter. The program allowed me to develop strong communication skills and the ability to think critically—skills that I now use daily in my current leadership role.

One of the most valuable aspects of IBA was the opportunity to connect with amazing friends from all over the world. The international environment truly broadened my horizons and taught me how to collaborate across cultures, preparing me to work in global settings.

What also made my experience unique was the chance to enroll in interdisciplinary courses like the SSM (Sustainability Science and Management Program)class. That class deepened my understanding of ESG and allowed me to explore how sustainability intersects with business—an area that has become increasingly relevant in today’s world.

The IBA program equipped me not just with academic knowledge but also with real-world insights, global exposure, and a strong professional network. It helped shape the way I view challenges and opportunities, and inspired me to constantly step out of my comfort zone.

To those of you just starting your journey—don’t be afraid to take on new challenges. Be open-minded, stay curious, and embrace every opportunity that comes your way. I believe your IBA journey will be just as rewarding and unforgettable as mine.

Good luck and enjoy every moment!

Ann Lu  • 盧芃安

Hi~ My name is Ann Lu. I graduated from the International Business Administration (IBA) program in 2025, and I’m going to Durham University to pursue a Master’s degree in Management (International Business).
IBA is a fully English-taught program that helps students adapt to an English-speaking environment from day one. Thanks to this, studying abroad feels much smoother, as I’m already used to using English in both academic and daily settings. During my four years in IBA, I made many wonderful friends and met supportive professors who helped me a lot along the way. I also had the amazing opportunity to do an internship in France, which was provided through the department. It was an unforgettable and eye-opening experience.
Don’t be afraid to choose IBA! It will make your university life more exciting and full of unique opportunities. You’ll meet people from all over the world, broaden your horizons, and grow so much as a person. Be brave and step out of your comfort zone! Wishing you all the best ~
